The Spiritual Formation Path emphasizes growth.
Spiritual Formation is the process of growing closer to Jesus and becoming like Jesus. This happens over the course of our lifetimes as we talk with him, worship him, and learn more about him. Our Spiritual Formation Path is a series of classes that help lay the foundation for a lifetime of walking with Jesus.
Spiritual Formation Environments
Exploring Christianity: This five-week class is for those who aren't sure if they want to be Christians or for those who are struggling with significant doubts. We’ll have conversations about the goodness, beauty, and truth of Jesus while discussing concerns and questions about Christianity in a non-judgemental environment.
Bible Fluency: This ten-week class is about getting to know the Bible, fluently. The mark of someone who is truly fluent in a language is that they begin to think in that language; this class will familiarize those who take it with the Bible: its various books, the story it tells, and the ways we can meet with God in its pages.
seeJesus School: This class runs concurrently with the traditional school calendar: September through May. This class is explicitly about getting to know Jesus. As we immerse ourselves in the Gospels, we’ll discover Jesus in fresh ways and be transformed as we seek to live Jesus-shaped lives of love and prayer.
Surge School: This class also runs concurrently with the traditional school calendar: September through May. At Ironwood we like to say that “All of Life is All for Jesus” and Surge School equips us to integrate our faith into every aspect of our lives. This Theological and Biblical journey requires more reading than the other classes, but the return on the investment is wisdom.
*We recommend, but do not require, that you take these classes in order; if you are already confidently a Christian go ahead and start with #2.
